Brandon's Defense Board of Directors
Julie Boulton (Gordon), Brandon's Mother, Founder & President. Julie is responsible for all of the accounting, administrative work, website maintenance, fundraisers and execution of services.
Tammy Zuker, Director. Tammy has served on the Board of Directors since the foundation was incorporated and assists with administrative work.
Angela Montie, Treasurer. Angela has served on the Board of Directors since the foundation was incorporated and assists with administrative work as well as fundraisers.
Jamie Baldwin, Secretary. Jamie has served on the Board of Directors since 2010 and helps with fundraisers, updates social media sites and is the liaison with the foundation and Michigan State University athletes that are introduced to pediatric cancer patients at Sparrow Hospital.
Marissa Oakley, Brandon's Sister & Director. Marissa joined the Board of Directors in 2015. Marissa helps with all the fundraisers and execution of services.
Karen Crabb, Brandon's Aunt & Director. Karen has filled the snack box and toy chest at the Michigan State Oncology Clinic (now U of M Sparrow) since May 2009, assuring there is always snacks available for the kids. Karen also organizes the Golf for Gordie event every year.
In addition to our Board of Directors, Brandon's Defense has several other key people that have helped from day one and play a significant role in executing our mission. All of our initiatives are accomplished by the generosity of volunteers.
Don & Marilyn Williams, Brandon’s Grandparents. They gather donations for several months out of the year to make our fundraisers very successful. They attend the events and do whatever is needed to bring awareness to childhood cancer and fulfill the foundations initiatives. Sadly we lost Don "Gramps" on 6/22/2022.
Jane Arnold, Brandon's Aunt. Jane helps out with fundraising events and the execution of the foundations initiatives.
Mary & Matt Maher, Brandon's Aunt and Uncle. Mary and Matt help with fundraising events and the execution of the foundations initiatives.
Chuck & Chris Williams, Brandon's Aunt and Uncle. Chuck and Chris help with corporate and event sponsorship for our fundraising events and play a significant role with our research program.
Cynthia Meteyer, our nurse coordinator at University of Michigan Sparrow Hospital. Cindy works directly with us to get us patient referrals, keeps stock of family bags and is our go to person for completing all of our missions at U of M Sparrow Hospital.
We are truly blessed beyond words to have so many incredible friends and family members who have stood beside us and supported our mission from day one. Your encouragement, generosity, and belief in what we are doing have helped execute our services for many years.
We are equally grateful for every new person, family, business, and organization that continues to join our mission. Our team keeps growing, our community keeps getting stronger, and our hope keeps getting bigger.
Every person who joins us becomes part of something greater—a movement dedicated to supporting children and families affected by cancer and advancing the fight against this terrible disease.
We will continue to stand together, keep fighting, and never stop pushing forward until that day comes when every child has a chance to win their battle with cancer. 💛
